Official Club Room Opening in 2000
In its current format Motueka AFClub (“the club”) applied as was accepted as an incorporated society in 1975. The club has a constitution “set of rules” by which to give guidance as to how the club is operated. In the constitution the club has 3 main objectives which are:-
1. To promote the game and playing and practice of association football and of other amateur sports, games and past times and to encourage healthy and rational recreation and social intercourse.
2. To acquire by purchase, lease, hire or otherwise any real or personal property or any rights or privileges’ which may be considered necessary or expedient for attaining the objects of the club or any of them or for promoting the interests of the club or its members.
3. To conduct such social activities as the Executive may from time to time approve.
Over the years as the club has grown and developed the decision was made that the junior section (predominantly 5 years – 16 years) has a sub-committee structure that deals with junior football operations separately and then links with the senior club committee.
