First Kicks
First Kicks - The first introduction to football: developing fundamental physical skills in a safe, fun and rewarding environment
It is essential that young players are exposed to a high-quality experience that’s designed to meet their needs.
This will be their first experience of practising and playing football in an organised environment, which can be the deciding factor for whether football becomes their sport of choice. That’s why it’s crucial that the playing experience is fun and exciting right from the start, and is sustained throughout the season. This initiation phase allows children to discover the game, provides for basic fundamental movement skills and creates a positive football experience.
The key to providing a high-quality experience is understanding the needs of young children. Through understanding the stage of development they are at, and how they see the world, we can create a positive coaching and playing environment. It's always important to remember that we are developing the person not just the player.
If you wish to join First Kicks, please come and see us on Wednesday or make an enquiry here.

Team Leaders
The success of our “First Kicks” will be achieved, if parent volunteers come forward to help. To date Greg Jones has come forward to say that he is willing to help out, but we will need more helpers for the season! Please speak to him or Heike Traut after training, if you feel you could help the “first kicks squad” in any way. Thank you!
It is very rewarding to see the improvement over the season!
Additional Information
During the season we will work with the Team Leaders to get to an arrangement that works for everybody, so we may need additional help from time to time.
