Player Development Pathway

Vision

Picture
The Motueka Football Club has identified a clear development pathway for its young players. From first kicks through to senior football introduction, we want to provide a pathway for excellence. To do this, it is essential we start thinking long term and function as a whole unified club. Coaches and players will be given as much support as they need to reach their full potential. Players will be encouraged to interact with other teams, players, coaches and senior members. Coaches will be given an age specific directive and provided resources to apply this directive.

Mission Statement

The Motueka Football Club wishes to become the envy of all clubs in the region, by providing a community based club where players are supported, encouraged and developed both within football and socially.

The club wishes to develop a possession based style of football, with players capable of winning and retaining possession using a short passing game and high movement off the ball.

We believe with the implementation of this strategic plan, we will start seeing players of a very high standard coming through the ranks, and as such our on field results will improve dramatically.

The club believes that this vision and mission will allow us to maintain a successful organisation, both on and off the field.  This document aims to illustrate the goals and objectives of the club, and how we intend to achieve them.  To achieve these the club needs wide acceptance from our members and assistance in undertaking the initiatives contained within this document.
